This week as part of our learning in SCIENCE, and leading up to our exit point, Milepost 2 have been learning all about adaptation.
We have learned about why animals and plants adapt, have found out about the most common types of adaptations and even looked at some unusual adaptations. We then used this learning to begin creating a new, fantastical creature of our own that has had to adapt to living in two very different habitats! It might have the beak of an eagle and polar bear feet, the tail of a kangaroo and the head of a shark or the ears of a fox and the stripes of a tiger. We can't wait to see what our creations look like when they are completed!

STARS OF THE WEEK | |
Year 4
This week in maths, Year 4 have continued our focus on mental skills as we have been focusing on rounding and mentally adding two digit numbers. We used interactive resources to play some learning games to consolidate what we already knew and lots of us showed that we were becoming risk takers in our learning by attempting more challenging tasks.
Year 3
In literacy, we have been learning all about the amazing animals that live on our planet. We have had to do lots of research and then used what we found out to help us write an information text. We have even started putting our learning into a powerpoint presentation using the skills we have learned with Mr. David in ICT.
