Our Amazing Year 4 Sleepover!
What a great night!
In Year 4 our literacy this week has been all about building on and using the learning we have done over the last two weeks. We have used all of the planning we have done to create amazing letters of our own. We hope you enjoy reading them!
In Year 3 we have been retelling stories by different authors and have really enjoyed trying to turn these stories into our own comic strips!
This week Year 3 have continued their learning about time. They have built on what they learned last week and used it to try to solve word problems all about time.
In Year 4 we have been learning all about fractions of numbers. We have practised finding non-unit fractions (like 3/4) of numbers and played lots of games to help with this tricky learning!
Our Stars of the week
In science this week we have been concentrating on fair testing. We practised predicting the outcome of a fair test, we planned how to conduct a fair test and then tried it out using the circuit equipment.
Do you know what a fair test is?
After all of this, we played Who Wants to be a Millionaire to see how much knowledge we have learned so far in this unit. We also got to design a new invention to help us communicate if there was a powercut and a flood around our house. This displayed our understanding because we had to use all of the knowledge and skills we have gained to come up with an effective invention!
