Those of us in Year 1 have been busy ordering two-digit numbers from greatest to least. We also looked at fractions of shapes and amounts - finding 1/2 and 1/4. We showed great resilience and thinking skills in all of our maths challenges this week!
In Year 2 we have been focusing our learning on addition and subtraction. We reminded ourselves of the different methods we have been using this year to support our addition and subtraction learning. We then applied those key skills to help us understand word problems. We were great thinkers and applied lots of resilience when solving tricky word problems.
In Year 1 we have been writing recounts from our favourite day in the holiday. We practised writing verbs in the past tense and tried really hard to remember time connectives to help us sequence the events.
Those of us in Year 2 have been learning about calligrams and shape poems. We have been busy creating our own calligrams both on paper and on the computer. We then used our new knowledge of calligrams to create shape poems! They were excellent and you can see how much thought and care went into our creative and artistic learning this week!
