Child Led Conferences 12th May Thursday!
Hope to see you all at your
School will be closed on the
13th May for
the King’s Birthday!
This week we have been busy exploring and learning the names of vegetables. The learners have had a wonderful time helping to making carrot cake. We also tried to taste some of the vegetables like carrots and cucumbers.
This week we have been learning all about spiders. We looked at video clips and non-fiction books to find out more information and facts on these 8 legged minibeasts. In art and craft we made paper plate spiders and painted different coloured spiders. Next week we will be learning all about ladybirds!
In our phonics we will continue tuning into sounds using various games and resources such as ‘Metal Mike’ and flash cards. We will practise segmenting three letter words and listening to the initial sounds in words. We have also been learning to write our names independently.
Reception learners were fantastic during their class assembly. They demonstrated lots of Personal Goals. They were great communicators retelling the stories of The Little Red Hen and The Three Little Pigs. They co-operated with each other and were all big risk takers for performing so well at their first class assembly.
