In Literacy, the learners have been so keen making prints on the zebra using marbles and brushes.
In music time, we had fun making loud and soft sound using boom whackers. We love singing “Jungle Boogie”.
This week we have been continuing to explore and find out information about 'under the sea'. Our focused for this week learning was about turtles, octopus and crabs. We watched video clips and read information books on the creatures. We also looked at video clips of beautiful and colourful corals underneath the sea.
We enjoyed making sea turtles and hand print crabs.
Stories we have been sharing with our Nursery learners.
In maths we have been learning all about repeating patterns and symmetry. We worked together to make a really long repeating pattern of shapes. We also painted on one half of a butterfly and folded it in half to make our own symmetrical butterfly wings. We used mirrors to see the symmetrical pattern of leaves and butterflies. We also enjoyed playing the symmetrical game on the interactive board. We also planned to paint our butterflies and camouflaged them in our outdoor play area. Can you spot them?

In maths the learners enjoyed making number puzzles. We have also been measuring sea animals with cubes and paper clips. We have been practising our counting skills with number rhymes, songs and counters.
In Maths this week we have been learning to subtract. We have been using our fingers, objects and counting back on a number line to help us. We worked in groups to work out the subtraction number sums and to match the correct numbered train carriages with the trains. (This was quite a tricky challenge but we worked on our latest personal goal and were very resilient until we reach our targets)
In phonics we have been learning to blend and segment words through letters and sounds Phase 2 and Phase 3 games.
