iCAN PLAY/Nursery
We started our learning journey this week by doing big art activities. We showed our cooperation skills by painting boxes and making a 3D giraffe. We also made animal masks to use in our role play area.
MathsIn maths, we enjoyed making different patterns on the snake. We liked using circles and triangles to make patterns. We had fun matching the animals to their young ones. We enjoyed sorting animals into tall and short sizes. | LiteracyIn Literacy, we have been exploring and finding out names of different animals through sharing the story “Rumble in the Jungle” by Giles Andreae. We also continue to practise writing our names using different materials. In phonics we have been practising rhyming words and initial sounds in words. |
Reception
This week we have been learning the parts of a plant and what plants need to grow. We also looked at what each part of a plant does. We watched presentations and video clips to help us understand more about the life cycle of a plant. We looked at the plants around the school and took photos of trees and plants using the iPads. We enjoyed labelling the parts of a plant on the IWB game.
