How do our empires/events look on a map?
Then we learnt some new geographical knowledge by taking part in a Quiz Quiz Trade. Would you know what the symbols above show on a map?
After this, we looked at the Khmer Empire. In our teams we plotted, on a map, how the empire spread and the other countries that influenced the empire. Following this, we then moved this learning on to our own civilisation or event. We tried to show chronology in our maps through the use of a coloured key. We had to consider time though - the World Wars could be a new colour for each year BUT that would be impossible! So, instead, we used a new colour for a decade.
Great learning from everyone in Milepost 3! It is great to see them all really embracing their enquirers personal goal and learning through the topic that they are most interested in! Go MP3!
