Anemometers and Weather Vanes
Maths
In maths this week Year 6 have had lots of fun looking at area and perimeter. We have applied our skills to real life by going to the hall and measuring the area and perimeter of mats that have been positioned together to create irregular polygons. In year 5 our learners have continued to learn about angles. We have been practising using a protractor which can be quite tricky! We have then calculated missing angles in quadrilaterals and triangles. We then moved onto drawing angles and shapes ourselves. | |
Literacy
| In Literacy year 6 have continued to read Floodland. We have used our drama skills to help us interpret and bring the characters to life. This week we have also been writing our own action story and completed a BIG WRITE. In Year 5 learners completed a Jigsaw treasure hunt where they used cooperation and resilience to convert paragraphs into third person. |
