Wow! I can't quite believe that it is already the end of this school year - I know it is something that we say often but this year has really flown by :) There has been so much learning happening and it has continued to be a privilege to be a part of the educational journey of so many amazing learners. I have loved writing these blogs each week and sharing all of the wonderful learning from MP3 with the rest of the ICAN community.
This week we have held our final exit point of the school year. We worked really hard, in mixed class groups, to prepare and run our historical museum. This was a great way to end our unit, which has really allowed us to improve our enquirers skills and focus on our own interests. Thank you to everyone who came!

International MindednessThis week we have been developing our International Mindedness. We began by thinking about Cambodia in the past, in the present and then in to the future. How has it changed? Why has this happened? What do we think the future holds? We then extended this into our civilisations or events, taking one country and looking at the past, present and future. Using our research we created power points to share the changes and possibilities for the future! Fantastic learning for everyone in MP3! LiteracyIn literacy MP3 have been continuing with their projects! Year 5 have been working incredibly hard on their stock-motion videos. This week they have improved their scripts and built their sets. They have also begun the filming process! Look out for the finished results on the blog next week! Year 6 have become illustrators this week and have been completing the final parts of their novels. Then, when they were completed, we went down to Year 2 and shared them with the learners there. it was great to share them and feel like real authors! Our learning facilitators are so proud of the dedication we have shown with these! Amazing! We will have them available to read at the Y6 performance on Tuesday at 5pm - we hope to see you all there! MathsIn maths this week, Year 5 have been working with money. They have been learning how to solve word problems and considering money in real-life contexts. These are very useful skills to develop! They have also began to recap their learning on time! Keep up all of this amazing learning! Year 6 have been learning about graphing this week. They have considering the 4 quadrants and have been improving their skills in plotting on these with accuracy. We played BINGO to try and get all of our points. We are certainly improving our skills. Then we moved on to learning about line graphs. How to make and how to read them. Great learning! Superbly Supertastic StarsThe Y6 end of year dinner is on TUESDAY 7th from 5-7.30pm! All Y6 families are invited to their performance at 5 - 5.30pm in THE SPACE :) Following the performance the learners will stay to eat and celebrate the end of their primary school career! |
