In their last unit of the year, the Year 7 learners were exploring A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. They had a focus on the argument between Oberon and Titania and the way that argument affected the forest and was eventually resolved. Below are their interpretations of Act 2 Scene 1, the scene in which Titania and Oberon argue over a changeling boy.
In science, Year 7 have begun using the Bunsen burners which always adds some extra thrill and excitement to the day. Year 7 have been doing a series of lab challenges that involve using basic chemistry to resolve problems. Learners have been trying to use more scientific vocabulary in their lab observations and have recently begun using words such as soluble, insoluble, solute, solvent and solution.
