Learning Journey - Our mission is complete!
Our next unit is, Science Investigators. A fantastic unit all about using science to find clues, draw conclusions and solve crimes! We can't wait to get started straight after the Pchum Benh holidays!
The Year 5 learners have been continuing their learning through the novel, Grandpa Chatterji. They have been learning about the differences between reported speech and dialogue. They have also been considering the point of view of the characters, consolidating their understanding of past tense and rewriting scenes from the book! Great learning Year 5!
Year 5 have been learning all about 3D objects. They have also begun to learn about fractions and have been working on finding equivalent fractions, ordering fractions and being able to add and subtract simple fractions!
Wow! What fantastic maths learning from all of our milepost 3 learners this learning block!
On FRIDAY it is MATHS DAY. The Milepost 3 learners went on a Maths Trail, solving a range of mental maths problems hidden around the school. Each sum gave them a letter which they added to a phrase - this phrase told them what they would be creating that afternoon! It spelt out CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES and all of the learners then used their maths measuring skills to cooperate with their group and make some delicious truffles, YUMMY!
