In Literacy this week Y6 have been thinking about grammar, spelling and punctuation. We spent some time reviewing sentence types and tenses. We also thought about what an antonym is and came up with specific examples. With Mr Shannon’s help we also worked out the difference between active and passive voice. We then wrote down examples and asked our classmates to figure out which sentence was which.
In maths this week Y6 have begun learning about mean, mode, median and range. We practised these skills in order to apply them to a set of data. Initially, we needed to review our knowledge of each one. Then using a set of numbers, we figured out how to find the mean, mode, median and range. It wasn’t as tricky as we thought – the tricky part was remembering what each word meant!
