This week Year 6 have been learning all about volume. Would you be able to explain the difference between capacity and volume? Do you know what we measure volume in and why? We created videos to teach volume, take a look at a couple of these on the blog!
Year 5 have been revising subtraction of three of more digits! They have been using the column method to help with this and have also been working on improving their mental skills too. They have also solved word problems and problem solving questions that have subtraction as their key operation.
Great learning Milepost 3!
What has happened in history?
This week we have been learning all about how the Khmer Empire ended. We learnt the different events which led to its collapse. They we researched an aspect of our own event or civilisation. We were able to choose one aspect: fashion, food, events and then wrote chronological reports on them. We worked really hard and really showed our enquirers personal goal in action!
Year 5 have been continuing to learn through their oral storytelling project. They have been working hard to add their adapted versions of the story, Medusa, on top of the animation. The learners have all shown great enthusiasm for this learning and have really impressed us with their communication and risk-takers goals shown during their learning! There are more of these videos, for you to enjoy, on the blog!

Please remember that this year's CHILD LED CONFERENCES are on Thursday 12th May. Your child's learning facilitator will have sent you home a slot in which your child will be able to share their learning with you! The learners all really enjoy this opportunity to share their learning on a one on one basis and work hard to prepare. We look forward to seeing you all there!
