Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Family Learning Day on Thursday. IT was great to see so many of you sharing your child's learning, they certainly loved showing you what they were learning! See if you can find yourself in the gallery below. :)
Literacy Learning.
Year 6 have been working on opening paragraphs this week. They have been focusing on how important it is to HOOK the reader in and make them want to read on. They have been writing different types of opening paragraphs, focusing on either action, character or setting. Year 6 have also been working on their skill of providing effective feedback by giving both self and peer reflections on their writing.
Magic at Maths.
Year 5 began the week by completing their learning about time. They tackled some complex word problems but were resilient and really showed how much they had learnt during this unit. They then moved on to learning about geometry. They began by recapping the main vocabulary, such as, circumference, radius and diameter. Keep it up Year 5!
Year 6 have been learning all about shapes. They have been thinking about the complex properties of a range of different shapes. They have also been learning about triangles and the differences between the different types. Great learning Year 6! |
Learning Journey - TECHNOLOGY!
This week we have been working SO hard on our technology learning! We began be reflecting on the games that we designed at the end of last week. We made modifications to our plans, taking into account feedback and the resources that we had available. We then began the building. This took a lot of resilience and trial and error but we made our teachers proud and can't wait to show you our working games during our exit point! We were constantly reflecting and adapting whilst we were working, we really showed a wide range of our personal goals with this! Amazing!
