Thank you to all of our wonderful families for joining in our Child Led Conferences this week. The children all loved sharing their learning with you and the learning facilitators really enjoyed hearing your children articulate their learning in such a mature manner!
Nursery practised their Child Led Conferences with 6S! It was great to see 6S being so mature and responsible, asking the younger learners so many appropriate questions. Amazing!
Milepost 3 has DEFINITELY got TALENT!
Literacy
This week 5P have been continuing their filming of their Medusa story telling! Great resilience shown from them all! 5N have moved on to concentrate on descriptive writing. They have been writing extended descriptive passages including lots of details and characterisation. Have a look at a couple of examples below :)
Maths
In maths this week Year 6 have been consolidating a lot of their mathematical skills through playing board games! It was great to see them cooperating together and consolidating so much of their learning. Well done, Year 6! Year 5 have been learning all things subtraction this week! They have been solving word problems, using column method, thinking of mental strategies and combining and improving all of their skills! Amazing! |
Learning Journey
We began, as usual, by considering Cambodian history. We considered the major historical events that have impacted Cambodia and what effect these have had to the present day. It required us to be real thinkers who were able to share and explain our thinking about some challenging issues.
Then we moved on to our event or civilisation. We again took the main events in the history of them and considered how that has impact other countries, the world or even us!
Once we had discussed in our teams we then created new groups containing one member from each of the other groups. We each shared what we had learnt and considered which event had had the most impact and why!
Excellent thinking and enquiry skills in Milepost 3 this week, well done!
