This week in Year 3 we have continued our learning based on the story The Tinderbox. We have learned about the plot of the story, and of other traditional stories, and have done lots of practise of telling stories like this ourselves. We were even visited by a character from The Tinderbox and got to ask them lots of questions! | In Year 4 this week we have been learning all about instructions this week in literacy. This is not new learning but rather revisiting what we learned in Year 3 to make sure we remembered it. We really enjoyed it, especially when we got to write a set of instructions for how to make our mums, brothers or Ms. Lori (!) go mad! In maths we have been practising the skill of telling the time using digital and analogue clocks. We learned how to do this all together and then played lots of games on interactive resources to help us get better. |
In our Explorers and Adventurers learning journey unit we have all become designers this week as our learning has moved on to technology. To begin with we thought about all of the challenges that our explorers faced on their incredible journeys. From having no oxygen to breathe, to freezing temperatures, to not having any fresh food to eat - they all had great challenges to overcome. Following on from that, we tried to design and build something to meet their specific needs. It was tricky thinking of new ideas, but we did really well! STARS OF THE WEEK!
