We were really impressed that the plans we had come up with really worked and our chocolates were super yummy!
Sorry mums and dads ... we didn't save you any!
We hope you have a lovely break for Pchum Ben!
Remember that school is open as normal on Monday 19th October after the break.
Milepost 2 will be going on our trip to The Chocolate Shop on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October. Please make sure you have returned the signed permission form to the school office. Thank you.
Literacy in Year 4 this week has been closely linked to our learning journey. We have continued to learn about instructions and have used what we learned to write amazing recipes for how to make our chocolates. We did a great job and really showed how much we have learned.
Year 3 have been very independent with their literacy this week. After watching the video 'I Lived on the Moon' the children used everything they have been learning in literacy to respond to the video. They have created artworks, powerpoint presentations and even used the iPADs to share their ideas about the film. Writing setting descriptions, reviews of the film or rewriting the story in lots of different ways. What great independent learning!
This has been a really exciting week for maths in Milepost 2! On Friday we had our annual Maths Day and the children had an amazing time exploring different types of maths all around the school! We had to find our how much it cost Mr. Michael to buy all of the grown ups lunch, how many bricks were in the wall outside the hall, how much water was coming out of the fountain and even how much colder our classrooms were than outside. We did a great job of working independently, using our enquiry skills as we went and most importantly having a great time practising maths!
4T Class Assembly
