We have continued our learning about the Antarctic explorers Scott and Amundsen this week in Milepost 2. We have been thinking about the routes they took on their voyages to Antarctica as part of GEOGRAPHY, identifying differences between their expeditions in SOCIETY and learning about how the Earth's orbit around the sun creates the seasons in SCIENCE.
In Year 4 this week we have continued being film critics in our literacy lessons. We had a great time watching the Wallace and Gromit film "The Curse of the Were-Rabbi't' early in the week. Since then, we have been using the skills we developed last week to create our own film review. | In Year 3 we have been building on our learning from last week and, linking with our learning journey, have begun writing a report about the expeditions of Scott and Amundsen. We have remembered to use titles, sub-headings and include paragraphs and we have demonstrated how much we remember about these amazing explorers. In maths this week, we have been carrying on with our learning about multiplication and division. We have thought about solving these calculations in different ways, practised breaking multiplications down to use easier numbers and tried applying our skills to different problems. Great learning! |
