Milepost 2 have been working really hard in the technology section of our What's On The Menu Learning Journey unit. We have been using everything we have learned through the unit to help us plan and design 'super farms'. We did this ourselves and then improved our designs with our teams. Once we were happy, we then practised using different tools and equipment to make 3D models of our team farms. It was tricky to make them realistic, but we did a great job.
In Year 4 this week we have been working really hard on practising our division skills in maths. We remembered the chunking method of division that we learned earlier in the year, and also moved on to a newer method called 'the bus stop method'. We are really proud of how we demonstrated that our division skills are improving! In literacy, we have followed up the amazing storytelling from Mr Phill last week by beginning to write a story of our own. We are going to base these stories on the music video you can see here. Why don't you watch it and see what story you would tell... | In Year 3 we have been learning about plays in our literacy learning this week. We have identified the key features of play scripts, thought about how a play tells a story and also about how plays are similar or different to reading a story in a book. We have even had a go at trying to write a play script of our own to tell the story of the woodcutter from Little Red Riding Hood. |
