This week has seen all of us in Milepost 2 enjoying the beginning to our new Learning Journey unit;
What's on the Menu?
We have shared what we already know about food, where food comes from and how it grows. We also had a wonderful time at our entry point where we got the chance to taste lots of interesting new flavours. We were real risk takers because we did this when we were blindfolded, but that helped to make it even more exciting! We're really ready for our new unit now!
Year 3 had a wonderful time at our sleepover this week. We played lots of games and really enjoyed having the chance to get to know our friends better in a brand new way! | |
STARS OF THE WEEK
Year 3 and Year 4 have been doing lots of learning about food and farms in our literacy lessons this week. We have been learning and practising using lots of new words to help us with our new learning journey unit. We have also tried asking questions to find information and have begun working on a food dictionary to use in our topic.
MATHS
This week in maths, we have been doing lots of learning about fractions. We have thought about how to make fractions, how to find fractions of shapes, how to calculate fractions of numbers and even practised identifying equivalent fractions. It has been tricky, but we have done lots of great learning.
