Milepost 2 have been amazed at the feats of Neil Armstrong and the other Apollo 11 astronauts this week as we have continued our learning about famous explorers. Finding out about the lunar space missions, how far they traveled and thinking about what they did has all been incredible. We have loved watching some of the footage of the moon landing also!
This is a clip from the dramatised documentary From the Earth to the Moon. It is a great way of experiencing the emotions involved in the moon landing! | |
STARS OF THE WEEK
In Year 4 this week we have been journalists in our literacy lessons as we have been learning all about reports. We have even had a chance to interview someone from the other class to find out all about them and their life! Following on from that we then wrote a report all about them. In maths, we have been practising our multiplication skills and particularly concentrating on the grid method of written multiplication. At the beginning of the week this was tricky as we had to think really hard about how to do it, but after some practise we really developed this skill well. | In Year 3 we have been concentrating on fairy tales this week. We remembered some of our own favourite fairy tales, thought about lots of famous fairy tales and have even had a go at writing a fairy tale of our own. |
