Milepost 2 have been great GEOGRAPHERS in our learning journey this week as we have been practising using a variety of different maps. This is one of our key geographical skills and is an area of learning we will revisit a number of times over the coming year.
Do you have any maps at home? Maybe you have an atlas or a globe? If not, maybe you could ask an adult if it is OK to look at google maps on a tablet or computer. Try to find these places on more than one map ... |
STARS OF THE WEEK!
Year 4 This week in Year 4 we have been using lots of the writing skills we have practised over the last few weeks to write a character description of The Gruffalo. We have tried to include exciting adjectives, lots of similes and metaphors and to start our sentences with different openers. We think we did a great job, don't you? In maths, we have been doing some great learning about different ways to present information. We practised using tally charts, pictograms and bar charts to display data. We even used this skill in our learning journey where we created a bar chart showing the different countries people in our class have visited. | Year 3 |
