We had an amazing day of learning on Tuesday this week when we took part in our Horrible Histories day. The children visited the age of the Vikings, went to Ancient Rome, met King Henry VIII and The Tudors and also journeyed to Ancient Egypt. We learned about each time period and specifically the foods that were common to each.
Year 4 This week in Year 4 we have continued with our learning on character descriptions in our literacy sessions. Using everything we had learned last week, we created a character of our own and then wrote a description. We tried to include noun phrases, used show-not-tell to give clues about the character and tried to include different sentence openers. Have a look at the character below, how would you describe them? In maths we have been thinking about negative numbers this week. We have practised putting negative and positive numbers in order and onto a number line, have thought about how to find the difference between negative and positive numbers and applied our learning to thinking about hot and cold temperatures around the world. | Year 3 |
