We have come to the end of our From A to B unit! It has been a fantastic unit filled with so much fun and we have learned lots of new knowledge, skills and understanding! To celebrate the end of a fabulous unit we took a trip to Kids City where we whizzed round the track in our go karts! It turns out some of us are pretty good drivers too.
In the jungle playground we explored all the different ways we could travel just by using our bodies: crawling through tiny holes, rolling, skipping, running, climbing, sliding, swinging etc. What a brilliant way to finish!
Year 1 In LITERACY this week we completed our information books! We wrote our information very carefully and tried to think of some questions to include. What is your favourite mode of transport? In MATHS we looked at symmetrical patterns. We used a range of materials to make our own symmetrical patterns out of lego, lolly sticks, drawings etc. We were great enquirers and really enjoyed using mirrors to find even more symmetry. | Year 2 In LITERACY we have been so enthusiastic about telling and writing stories, that we asked if we could make books. We made up our own stories and thought about interesting words and phrases to use in our booklets. Some of us have made an information booklet for our new teacher next year. Great effort! In MATHS we practised our comprehension skills by solving more word problems. We are getting really good at it. |
