Where are you going during the water festival holiday?
Have you ever been to the boat race?
IPC Learning Journey MP1 have been very internationally minded this week looking at different nation's emblems and their meanings. Did you know lots of different countries include flowers in their emblems? After some research we designed our own emblems which included some of the plants and flowers we like. We have also been learning a little more about our society and where food is grown around Cambodia. Different provinces are famous for growing different food; Kampot is famous for Kampot pepper! | |
Year 1 In LITERACY we started describing a process using connectives. We have planted a lot of seeds and beans lately and we wanted to write this process down. We practised the cooperative learning structure Rally Robin, in which we talked through the process with our partners. We practised using sentences rather than just words and we learnt about using capital letters and full stops in our phrases. In MATHS we have been learning about fractions; identifying halves and quarters of numbers and shapes. | Year 2 In LITERACY we have been learning about nonfiction texts. We started by researching facts about bees. We even got to taste different types of honey from around the world. After lots of research we began writing a plan for our own information books which we will start making next week. This week in MATHS we have carried on learning how to tell the time but we have also been estimating and then timing how long different activities take, such as skipping around the garden 3 times! Our estimating is getting better! |
