This week we looked at 2-D shapes. We made prints on large shapes. We also practised counting 1 to 10 using different objects such as buttons and teddies.
iCAN PLAY learners used various counters to practise counting 0-5. They also enjoyed singing number rhymes and songs.
This week we have been busy learning about 'My Body'. We sang action songs and looked at non-fiction books to learn and identify the names of our body parts. We also painted and decorated body outlines and faces.
Next week we will focus on our families.
This week have been continuing to explore all seven learning areas through activities such as playdough, water play, connecting straws, mark making, small world and much more! The topic for the first Learning Block is ALL ABOUT ME:
This week we have been learning about families and we had a wonderful Entry Point where RG & RV joined together to share and discuss photos of our families.
We have also been sharing our weekend news by drawing and communicating what we had done over the weekend. We are adapting to our new school routine, rules and new learning environments. We went for a sound walk around the school with our special big ears to listen to different sounds.
In maths we have been ordering numbers from 1-10 with body parts and magnetic numbers as well as looking at and identifying the properties of 2D shapes. We also made different pictures using 2D shapes.
