This week we have been learning about each other's favourites. During circle time we talked about our favourite fruits, animals and colours. We painted and drew our favourites. We used a structure game mix-pair and share to talk about each other's favourites.
This week we have been counting 1-10 using our loud and quiet voices we even sang number rhymes. We have also used basic shapes to create busses and trucks. We have been using our interactive whiteboard to play counting games and make patterns with shapes.

This week we continued listening to different sounds. We looked inside our noisy box and tried matching the objects listening to the sounds in the box. We have also been working on body percussion.
We have been really busy making marks with tooth brushes in paint, and also with chalk and flour.
We have been continuing to explore all seven areas through activities such as threading, mark making, pouring coloured rice, Lego, tracing, painting, small world and much more!
This week we have been focusing on learning about our favourite things and we discussed what our favourite colours, toys, food and places are.
We have also made our favourite colour collage using junk materials and painted our favourite toys. We are still learning to adapt to our new school routine, rules and new learning environments. We had fun sticking junk materials on templates of our faces!
In maths we have been looking at patterns and identifying the properties of 2D shapes. We had fun making different patterns with fruit by making our own fruit kebabs.
We are recapping phase 1 of ‘Letters and Sounds’ phonics. We have been tuning in and Metal Mike is helping us with segmenting and blending. Bertha the bus is also helping us with initial sounds of animals.
