iCAN PLAY/NURSERY
This week we have been learning about our families! We looked at books and video clips on families and learnt that families come in different forms. We enjoyed sharing and looking at our family photos with our friends. We painted the Earth and looked at the globe with magnifying glasses to find out which country we come from and where we live.
In arts and crafts, we made faces using natural objects such as sticks and leaves. We also made family frames using different materials. We enjoyed painting and drawing our family portraits.
Maths This week in maths we have been exploring shapes around us. We used a cooperative structure game called mix-pair-share to recognise shapes. We had fun sorting shapes and going on a shape hunt in the sand. | Literacy In literacy we have been listening to different musical instruments and matching them to the correct instrument. We have also been using an interactive animal sound matching game. |

We continued talking about healthy eating and ways that we can stay healthy. We enjoyed making a fruit salad and enjoyed eating them, it was really yummy.

We also used different shapes to make our own imaginative robots. | Literacy This week in phonics session we continue to work to tune into sound, playing Phase 1 games and songs from ‘Letters and Sounds’ such as Metal Mike, Bertha the bus, cross the river, Old MacDonald had a farm and the silly soup. |
