Learning Journey
This week we have been learning about 'OUR FAMILIES' . We looked at the globe with magnifying glasses to find out which country we come from and where we live. We have also been busy painting and drawing our family members.
We have been working with our first personal goal: being adaptable, by talking about it during circle time and thinking of ways to be adaptable with our Nursery learners.
Literacy
In literacy we have been listening to different music instruments and matching them to the correct instrument. We have also been using an interactive animal sound matching game.

Learning Journey
This week we learned about our body and skeleton. We used cotton buds to make a skeleton and enjoyed learning the skeleton dance and songs. We have also been learning about the different parts of a body. We used different materials to make a collage of a face. We continued talking about healthy eating and ways that we can stay healthy. We enjoyed making oatmeal cookies and enjoyed eating them, it was really yummy.
Literacy
In our phonics session we continue to work to tune into sound playing Phase 1 games and songs from ‘Letters and Sounds’ like Metal Mike, Bertha the bus, cross the river, Old MacDonald had a farm and the silly soup.
Mathematics
In our Math session we have been learning to order numbers from 1-10. We looked through all the basic shapes and their properties. We also used different shapes to make our own imaginative robots.
We continue working with our first personal goal, being adaptable. This week we read a story ‘The polar bear and snow cloud’ and wrote speech bubbles on how we have been adaptable at school and at home. | |
