This week we ended our topic All About Me by making gingerbread men for our Exit Point.
We had fun learning All About Me. It has been a great learning journey discovering all about ourselves, parts of the body, my family, my five senses and my favourites.
This week we have been counting 1-20 using our loud and quiet voices. We even sang number rhymes. We used basic shapes to create buses and trucks. We have also been using our interactive whiteboard to play counting games and make patterns with shapes.

In phonics we have begun phase 1, aspects 3 and 4. This week we we shared Rhyming Books that has a familiar repeating/rhyming pattern such as The Gingerbread Man.
We also played Rhyming soup, using a bowl and spoon saying the rhyming soup song and introduce objects/picture cards that rhyme.
This week we have been learning about 'Our classroom and School'. We made a big collage of our school using junk materials. We also drew about our favourite area in classroom. We used the iPads to take pictures of our favourite area in the school and talked about why we liked it during our Exit Point.
Maths This week in maths we continued learning about patterns using shapes, instruments and body movements like claps etc. We also made patterns using small world animals and colour pegs. | Literacy During our phonics session we continued to work to tune into sound playing Phase 1 games and song. We started to segment the sounds of a word or picture and tried to identify the initial sound, middle sound and the ending sound. |
